Description:The Starmark Local Account Representative markets by
phone, text, email, direct postal mail and other approved methods
of contact to get new funeral home and crematory customers in
targeted truck route delivery zones and out of delivery route
drop-ship zones. All other work that might be done is secondary at
best and may include supporting the Local Service Center Director
in ensuring customer needs are fulfilled on a daily and weekly
basis. The Local Account Representative will adhere to excellent
service standards to maintain the highest customer satisfaction.
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:-- Represents
Starmark's products and services with a comprehensive understanding
of how products are used in the funeral services and providing
solutions to customers.-- Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual
sales quotas through successful implementation of sales and
marketing strategies.-- Meets weekly quota of new customer
accounts.-- Routinely makes cold calls, sends texts and emails,
directs postal mailings, and approves samples to get new funeral
home and crematory customers in targeted truck route zones.--
Provides support to Service Center Director including but not
limited to: taking and processing orders, preparing and sending
correspondence and marketing materials, ordering and managing
inventory, verifying website accuracy, and ensuring customer needs
are fulfilled on a daily and weekly basis including the potential
to operate up to a 26' box truck to make deliveries.-- Accurately
collects and records customer data into CRM.-- Collaborates with
the Service Center Director on the delivery of samples to funeral
home and crematory customers.-- Attends funeral conventions and
events as needed.-- Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.--
Maintains clean and orderly work area.-- Assures safe practices are
implemented and followed.-- Adheres to Starmark Local's values,
principles, and policies as published in the Starmark Local Team
Member Handbook.-- Performs other duties as

Skills - above average mathematical skills are needed.EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:-- A high school diploma/GED with additional
relevant formal education or equivalent experience is required.--
Formal education or equivalent experience in sales, marketing,
management, or business is preferred.-- Previous experience in the
funeral services a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands
described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this

able to sit, walk, stand, bend and twist for extended periods of
time.-- Must be able to lift 75 lbs., and otherwise maneuver
product weighing up to 200 lbs. using proper provided equipment
(forklift, pallet jack, casket jockey) to successfully manage
inventory and load trucks (upon completion of forklift training and
certification program).-- Demonstrates ability to travel for sales
calls, conventions, training and/or to support other locations
during times of vacation/need up to 75% of the
